Spam is cool only in Hawaii
Thanks to Akismet being a general dick and not working, I'm going to be considering a different commenting solution when the time comes to update this blog. I'm getting about 200+ spam postings a day now and I have to waste 10 or so minutes of my precious, precious time cleaning it all up. These are minutes I will never get back, people.
I've been considering quite a few methods to prevent this from happening, but I will probably decide to go with a comment service provider like Disqus. Haven't really read into how I would implement something like this into the blog, but judging by how many people use it, I shouldn't have any troubles.
This move should stop the spam dead in it's tracks. This is important because I have a lot of content planned for this site in the next few weeks, yo!
Hmm, very strange, I've got akismet on my website and blog and have never had any problem with it… it's let about 1 in 500 spam comments through. Have you checked akismet is actually working as it should with your blog? i.e. the comments are being passed through it correctly? I know, I know… you probabl have but it has to be asked!
