Time to blow some stuff up!
Well, it's almost that special time of the year where all us folks in America can go bananas with explosives! Woohoo!
Typically, you could just go to some roadside store to buy some goodies, but as some of you folks know, buying fireworks in Illinois is not very legal. So, I took a little road trip with my father to Indiana yesterday to pick up some fireworks. It was an interesting trip as I've never really been to a fireworks warehouse ( yes, I had a deprived childhood ), but I've never in my entire life seen so many fireworks in one place. I began imagining what an awesome site it would be if the place caught fire.
150 miles and 5 hours later, we wound up spending a few hundred clams on some heavy ammo for next week's 4th of July family get together. I look forward to shooting hundreds of bottle rockets at birds, squirrels, chipmunks and other assorted small and furry animals.
